Tallgrass Prairie Residency

Last June I was one of 10 residents to attend the Tallgrass Prairie Residency in Kansas.

I spent the time researching the local area, history and landscape.

I also had the opportunity to put on an Indigo Dye Workshop at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.

Along the way, I met some great new friends and really enjoyed the textures of the grass, stone fences, barbed wire history and more.

When the day ended, I spent my time drawing on fabrics. Testing a variety of drawing tools and methods to see what effects I could create.
