Weaving With Metal

Last summer I became obsessed with metal weaving.

My focus in doing this research, was trying multi-layer weaves, and combining metal in the warp and weft.

After taking the fabric off the loom, I would manipulate the shapes to see how pliable each was and what it could be made into.

I’m looking forward to continuing this study at the Icelandic Textile Center in July 2026!
